Post card from Dublin ( Southern Ireland) 1990

Getting ready for hunt 1991

After fifteen years of searching around for a home I had a permanent roof over my head and rounding off the beautiful year 1990 my partner and I drove to Dublin to celebrate the coming of the following year, the Irish way?

The Irish way included good home cooked food to eat, lots of Guinness to drink in pubs and clubs where the IRA spy hung around, driving on empty roads making sure the English number plate was not noticed by IRA sympathisers, stopping to catch the rainbow for pot gold luck and on the New Year joining the fox hunt brigade for a bit hot whisky and fun; fun because the team leader found it challenging to kick start the chase with a alive bait? The hunters weren’t really after real red blood hunting day and the dogs weren’t interested in anything else other then real McCoy for the chase?

The Irish new Year experience brought us together happily into 1991 but sadly we never had a chance to repeat the experience again.
