Street children of India |
‘ BEEN HERE, SEEN IT, & DONE IT’, but that was so long
ago that I longed to travel in
India
again. So here I am, what do I find ?
Lots of changes, for better or for worse that is not for me
to judge, however once you visit a place after a long period of absence,
nostalgia inevitable sets in. I remember living in the middle of Delhi 25 years ago,
sleeping out in the open courtyard, counting the stars on hot summer evenings.
Now the same land, spreading out on the outskirt of the city has been eaten
away by concrete block of flats, where I can't see the day light any more. TV,
mobiles and cars are the status symbols for the most middle class. But what
else would I expect from the 3rd world India who is desperately trying to
feed her one billion by joining in the rat race fast imported from the 1st
world.
Anyway it is time for me to move on to places more sacred,
more holy and less polluted by tourist like me... up North West towards
Bhutan.... hope to see you there.
Love,
Davinder x
